1. Fed up

Harvey was fed up. He had lots of friends in the toy shop but his best friend Sooty had been chosen as a present last Christmas and he really missed her.

2. Oxley

She won't be back said Oxley, you will have to go and find her.

3. Harold

"Look in the diary," said wise owl Harold, "that will tell you where she is."

4. Diary

So they looked in the book and there it was: 'Delivered to Madeline Matthews, Fareham."

5. How to get there.

"Great," said Harvey, "now how will I get to Fareham?"

6. Station

First he went to the train station and waited for a train.

7. Trains

He saw the trains and thought they looked like a good way to travel.

8. Fast

But a train roared by, sparks flying from its wheels, and Harvey was a little frightened.

9. Maps

So he looked at the map on the wall and decided that it wasn't too far so maybe a taxi would be more fun.

10. Taxi

So he called for a taxi, strapped his seatbelt on and the taxi driver took him all the way to Madeline's house.

11. Front door

Harvey knocked softly on the door and guess who opened it? Sooty!

12. Stairs

Sooty was so pleased to see him. "Come upstairs and meet my friends: Alfie and James Bond."

13. Telling his story

Harvey told them about his long journey and wondered if Madeline would let him stay.

14. Alfie

"Well," said Alfie, "It's her birthday tomorrow, let's wrap you up as a present then she's sure to keep you."

15. Wrapping

So they wrapped him up and hid him under the bed as a birthday surprise.

16. Present

Do you think Madeline will let him stay? I do.
